Saturday, February 19 starts the initiative Nomi Cose Città (Names, Things, Cities). Walking, Looking, Telling, as part of a series of events kept by the ASTE E NODI Association. Our specific aim is to offer walks inside the urban framework of the city of Naples. The routes have been imagined in collaboration with some artists who will accompany, among other things, the walkers along the streets showing points of the city that are often part of those paths we go through every day without being able to perceive their presence. The attempt is to revitalize the viewer’s glance, trying to discover new aesthetics beyond the stereotypes that crowd the neapolitan collective imaginary.
They will be present , from February 19, the writer Antonella Cilento, on February 26 the street artists Kaf &Cyop, on March 5 Bianco Valente as visual artists, on March 12, the photographer Luciano Ferrara and, finally, on March 19 the musician Daniele Sepe.
Naples has always been a city full of contradictions. To own the largest historical centre in Europe, since over 15 years UNESCO’s World Heritage Site, without a suitable enhancement, is one of these contradictions. But the charm of the old centre of Naples also stands in its vitality and its regenerating ability which gives it a tendency towards the “becoming” that changes its feature day by day. Even if on one hand it is necessary to rebuild a love relationship between Neapolitans and their historical centre, on the other hand is also essential to look at it through different eyes, not as a museum but as a living, breathing body. The body of Naples.
